I find my inspiration in the small moments of everyday life, in the quiet of my walks, and in the experiences from my travels.
The subjects of my works arise from my surroundings — whether it is a neighboring street, the park where I go jogging, a flowerpot on the balcony, arranged chairs on a café terrace, or a beautifully cast shadow on a sunny street.
Born on the Crimean Peninsula, surrounded by the warm Black Sea and its sunny landscapes, I later moved to my new home between the Baltic and the North Sea. Nature and the sea have a special meaning for me; they recharge my energy, slow my pace, and help me escape the hectic and fast-moving everyday life. During my walks and travels, I create sketches and take numerous photographs that later serve as references for my work in the studio. In the creative process, I use everything — from brushes and palette knives to my fingers.
