The artist’s works are shaped by everyday impressions: a quiet street, a walk in the park, the interplay of light and shadow, or small details such as a flowerpot on a balcony. With clear, radiant colours, she captures the atmosphere of these moments and invites viewers to rediscover the beauty and tranquillity within the everyday.
Into the Blue
6 April — 22 June 2025
With our current exhibition, we venture outdoors with you and take a deep breath. A classic trip into the blue with unplanned encounters and small sensations brought about by a shift in perspective.
The painter Ludmila Reznik is an expert in this sensory-sharpening pastime and, starting on 6 April, invites our visitors at the stilhaus to join her previous wanderings through the works displayed on our walls.
Tiemo Schröder's contributions to our exhibition, by contrast, are unmistakably blue in their colour palette. Yet the motifs of the artist are just as enchantingly multilayered as the linocuts shown here. In his compositions, he deliberately offers us no predetermined direction of viewing, creating images that are self-aware, expressive in themselves, and always carry an element of surprise—an unexpected leap into the blue.
A sense of freedom and spontaneity is also conveyed by the plein-air inspired works of painter Susanne Wind. Her depictions of atmospheric elements, sky, and water reveal the power of nature through impressively swift and energetic brushstrokes.
Nature // Light // Sea
1 October 2023
Atelier 1, Laboe
The artist draws her inspiration from her daily life—whether during walks in the nature of Schleswig-Holstein or on her travels through France and Spain.
Nature holds a very special significance for her as a place of calm and regeneration. During her walks and travels, new ideas emerge, which she captures in sketches and photos and further develops in her studio.
Ludmyla Reznik enjoys working with a variety of techniques. Using acrylic paints, watercolours, and mixed media, she creates her works and gives them a distinctive form and expressive character. Her art presents a multifaceted, colourful kaleidoscope of maritime landscapes, shimmering cities, quiet harbours, impressive architecture, and unique moods. This very mix is also reflected in her own multifaceted personality, at home in two cultures.
